Watercolour top up order has gone in. Prices will be rising unfortunately in line with R.R.P. once order arrives.

A welcome day off.
Time to get the food shopping done and try to unwind a little.
Now that the clocks have changed the dark evenings will be longer.
I have over 80 shades in stock at the moment...all ready for their new homes. All handmade by me.

Bespoke Lampshade Ordering & Customer Policy

At Swan’s Nest, every customer and every bespoke lampshade matters to me. I put care, skill and attention into each piece, and I want you to love your finished lampshade.

As a small independent business, I also need to protect the time, materials and craftsmanship that go into my work.

Ordering and payment

Full payment is required when placing your order, whether ordering in person at my Tavistock Pannier Market stall or following an enquiry through Facebook.

The design, materials, measurements and total price will be agreed before the order is confirmed. Please check these details carefully, as your lampshade will be made to your individual requirements.

Pricing and changes

Every bespoke lampshade is individually priced to reflect the materials, time, skill and complexity involved.

I am always happy to discuss options before an order is placed. However, once an order has been agreed, I cannot renegotiate the price or provide additional work without an agreed additional charge.

I apply the same pricing principles to every customer to ensure fairness and consistency.

Cancellations and refunds

As bespoke lampshades are made to individual specifications, cancellation rights may differ from those applying to standard products.

For eligible bespoke orders, the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right for distance sales does not generally apply. Other cancellation rights may apply depending on the circumstances and how the order was placed.

If an order is cancelled, any refund due will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law. If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, I will always work with you to resolve the matter in line with your legal rights.

Fairness to all customers

I genuinely appreciate every customer who chooses to support my small business.

To ensure everyone is treated fairly, I must apply my pricing and ordering policies consistently. Although I will always listen to genuine concerns and try to find a reasonable solution, I cannot make individual exceptions to agreed prices or terms simply because a customer requests them.

Thank you for understanding that handmade craftsmanship takes time, skill and investment.

Your support allows me to continue doing what I love and creating individual lampshades with care and pride.
