It’s Halloween! 🎃 👻 🧙‍♀️

I flew down on my mahl stick this morning. It also doubles, (triples?), as a magic wand, which is nice.

Pop in! I promise not to turn you into a frog too much. 🐸 😂

Everyone is welcome at Palette & Pen. Please don’t feel you can’t come in if you’re “not an artist”. I don’t check. 😂

You can just come in, look at all the pretty things and leave again. Obviously it’d be great if you bought something, but it’s not a condition of coming through the door.

Looking for something to do on Saturday 31st? Two Rivers Paper will be in Uffculme at Coldharbour Mill making paper.
I know loads of you LOVE their paper! Put it in your diary now.

Set-up for papermaking at Coldharbour Mill, north of Exeter. Disappointingly few visitors today. Tomorrow is ' Steampunk Sunday' at the mill. The steam engine will be running and they expect lots of visitors so I will be back in the morning.

Apologies for the internet silence. I’ve been busy sorting out my inventory and spending far too much time looking at all the lovely things I can buy in for Christmas. 🎄

Oh and yes, we’ve moved the shop around again, to make more room for all the lovely things.

So you know we’re selling Kaweco fountain pens now?

Look at this beauty 🥰

The Kaweco Collection Liliput Kolibri is small but perfectly formed.

Kolibri is the German word for kingfisher, and the way this pen reflects the light is reminiscent of the kingfisher working its way up and down the canal.

Despite being a stainless steel pen with PVD-plating, it weighs just 16g. When closed it is only 9.7cm long, and grows to 12.4cm with the cap attached.

It is a limited edition, so don’t hang around if you love it!

6 years without my Mum & fellow silly person.😢

What a great day!

Jenna The Wood Nest tried something new, and ran her first class in our studio space today. 🥰

The table was a riot of colour and texture and her enthusiasm was contagious.

I hope this was the first of many.
