Happy Children’s Day, little ones!
Today is a little reminder to pause from the homework, revision and busy schedules - and simply enjoy our children.

Yes, exams are important. We want them to do their best, and we want to support them along the way. But childhood is happening right now.

So in between the homework and revision, take a little time to: - Have a meal together - Listen to their stories - Play, laugh and be silly - Give them a big hug - Let them know that they are loved - beyond their grades and achievements

Because one day, we’ll look back and realise that it wasn’t the test scores we remembered most.

It was the ordinary moments..  The laughter around the dinner table. The bedtime chats. The little hands reaching for ours.

Let’s celebrate our children not just for what they achieve, but simply for who they are.

Happy Children’s Day to all our little ones - and to all the parents doing their very best to raise them. 🌷

With the final year exams approaching and revision underway, I’m glad we took time out to enjoy the September school holidays!

Here is what we did - a week of making memories with my girl:
- Playdates with 3 of her favourite friends + 2 sleepovers  - Brunch and lunch dates - Mom & Daughter Movie Date — watched the local animation, ‘The Violinist’! - Hosting friends at home for a meal and catch up session - Minecraft Experience — thank you Mau for the invite! Caught it on the last day!  - Trying out new recipes together: onigiri, paprika chicken thighs, cottage cheese on toast

Nothing fancy, just a week filled with friends, food, fun and lots of time together. Because childhood goes by way too quickly, and sometimes the best thing we can give our kids is simply our time. ❤️

As parents, nothing brings us more joy than seeing our children eat well, knowing their bodies are nourished so they can grow strong and healthy.

Looking back, we’re so grateful for how far our daughter has come on her food journey. Once a picky eater, she’s now a wonderfully adventurous foodie.

One of the biggest milestones in her food journey? South Korea. We never considered it as a holiday destination because we thought she’d struggle with the cuisine. But after discovering how much she loved Korean food, we booked a trip to Seoul. It was such a wonderful family holiday that we went back again just three months later.

Her favourite dishes are bibimbap, dakhanmari with tteokbokki, galbitang, ramyeon, samgyetang, and, of course, the quintessential Korean barbecue & fried chicken!

If you’re currently navigating life with a picky or slow eater, I hope our story gives you a little encouragement. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but with patience and consistency, children really can develop a love for food.

A few things that helped us: • Encourage just one small bite of something new each time. • Watch cooking shows together to spark curiosity about different cuisines and ingredients. Our family favourites are MasterChef and Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars. • Keep mealtimes positive and pressure-free, celebrating every small win along the way.
