We’re celebrating the once again this year with an incredible program full of cinema, culture, and unforgettable stories.

Running from June 10 to July 12, this year’s festival brings a wonderful selection of Spanish and Latin American films, continuing its mission of showcasing powerful voices and amazing big-screen experiences.

We’re giving away 3 admit-two in-season passes 🎟️
Each winner can bring a guest to enjoy any film in the festival program (excluding special events).

One of the Spanish-language films you’ll be able to experience during the festival is:

💃 LA SALSA VIVE 💃
A vibrant journey through the rhythm of salsa, tracing its roots between New York City and Cali, Colombia and celebrating the music, culture, and communities that keep it alive across generations.

Hola Hola!! A little re-introduction because there are so many new faces around here 😊💕

I’m Aly Venezuelan the girl behind Big Latin Flavours.

Big Latin Flavours was born from homesickness, my love for sharing Latin culture, food & little pieces of home through recipes, stories and meaningful food experiences.

What started as a passion project slowly turned into cooking demos, Australian TV, food events, catering & a beautiful community I never imagined building.

Before that, years ago, I used to sell arepas in Australia long before Latin food became what it is today here. That chapter became part of my journey too, but Big Latin Flavours was created as a space to share my culture, recipes & creativity in a much bigger way.

And now… “Where To Eat & Where To Go” is officially back.

I’ve been loving sharing restaurants , hidden gems, events & fun things to do around Brisbane again, while also bringing you along a little more behind the scenes of my story, journey & life through this carousel.

And yes… the recipes will slowly be making a comeback too 👀

And Maybe one day Big Latin Flavours will return in a whole new way even with our amazing Latin catering again.

But for now, we’re simply enjoying the journey, creating, exploring & following what sets my soul on fire 💛
