Mugshot Monday! This arched foot mosaic mug reminds me of the puzzles I do. I love how the subtle texture brings out the variations in the glazes. As always, this mug is dishwasher and microwave safe.

New tumblers are out of the kiln! I’m loving the colors that both remind me of the waves hitting a sandy beach and a frosty icy winter. The tapered base makes these so easy to hold. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Mugshot Monday! These mugs were “painted” with a mix of underglaze and clay slip in the greenware phase. A thin layer of clear glaze gives them a subtle glossy finish and makes them dishwasher/microwave safe.
See these mugs in person at the Honeycomb Gallery in downtown Farmington.

Making a test batch of glaze. I make 100 gram batches of new or reformulated glazes before I commit to a whole bucket (10k grams). This glaze batch is actually testing a mystery chemical. We think it’s Custer Feldspar (which is precious to us). I’m making a known glaze to see if it comes out as expected to confirm or debunk the mystery chemical.
