If sleeping in on Saturdays was a crime, I’d probably be doing life right about now! And thanks to my client’s new primary bedroom, I know that I won’t be serving my time alone!

The goal for this space was to create a plush, hotel-inspired feel that encouraged late mornings(blackout drapes were a must), lingering, and listless lounging (layered bedding provides different options for staying cozy). Mission accomplished.

Guatemala: Good for the sights, senses, and soul.
So I recently spent a week in Guatemala and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this beautiful country! Everywhere you turned there was a gorgeous view to behold. From the picturesque mountains, to the embrace of indoor /outdoor living, to the women adorned in their traditional, hand-woven Guatemalan attire, to the abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats, every encounter was memory worthy. I look forward to sharing the inspiration gained during this reset period and encourage you to go and have your own experience.

Who doesn’t love a good before and after???

However when designing a new build home, that after hits a little different. Imparting a sense of warmth, soul, and “lived-iness” in a home that has never been lived in requires a certain level of attention to detail. Turning into a home away from home for our guests and the hubs and I has been a true testament to the power of good design. Can you say booked 😛

*Flexible work spaces within the office
*Easily accessible storage for work supplies and video games
*Closet organization that includes designated spaces for travel gear and work wear
*Shelving space to display family photos
*Incorporation of some of his collected art pieces
Assignment understood and accomplished!
