My aunts latest colored pencil.

I think I can finally call this one finished.

**Legacy of the Lines** — colored pencil on drafting film.

Coaly and Jim have certainly made me work for it. There were days when I thought I was making progress, days when I was sure I'd ruined something, and more than a few places I worked, corrected, softened and worked again. But today I finally reached that wonderful—and sometimes difficult—place where it's time to put the pencils down.

This is just a quick photo straight from my drawing board. I'll photograph it properly once it's off the board and ready for its next step.

I have a pretty full week ahead of me away from the studio, so getting these two fellows across the finish line today feels especially good.

One more step and she’s finished! 🎨🤠

Just a clear coat and a few final embellishments, and this one will officially be done. I’ve loved watching all those layers, colors, and little details come together.

And y’all… won’t this make a COOL Artist Series tee?! 😍
