We had a blast yesterday at the YMCA Camp Potawotami Golf Outing!

Great weather, great company, and a great day supporting an even better organization. It's always a good time getting out of the office and connecting with everyone. Our very own Bri Minnich took home the ladies closest to the pin title and gave us exactly the level of celebration we've come to expect from a seasoned champion and we're pretty lucky to have her.

While some teams played golf, some of us took a more exploratory approach to the property and became intimately familiar with areas of the course not typically featured on the scorecard

Exciting things are taking shape at Lakewood Park Christian School!

Work is well underway on Panther Park alongside our construction partners at T-E Incorporated and CD&M , as progress continues on the park's new tennis courts. We’re excited to see designs come to life and to watch Panther Park grow into a space that will serve Lakewood Park students, athletes, and the entire school community for years to come.

There’s plenty more ahead, but for now—it’s game, set, construction!

Gabi Silkworth has completed her Intern Bucket List Challenge, making her our final intern to finish the list this summer.

With that, we are pleased to announce that the 2026 Bucket List Challenge has reached substantial completion. All required items have been checked. No punch list remains. Closeout documentation is being prepared. We anticipate no warranty claims.....probably.

Apparently Hannah completing our Intern Bucket List Challenge was all the motivation Cody Adkins needed.

Throughout the summer, Cody worked through challenges designed to get our interns to explore, learn, design, build, and gain some real-world experience along the way.

Not content with simply completing the list we gave him, Cody apparently decided to add his own item:

☑ Get poked by a rather sharp piece of roofing material

This item was not included on the original bucket list, was not approved by management, and will not be added to next year’s edition. Nevertheless, the box has been checked.

Congratulations, Cody! Two interns down, one to go.

🏆 Bucket List Challenge: COMPLETE!

Congratulations to Hannah Weadock, the first of our summer interns to officially complete the MartinRiley Intern Bucket List Challenge!

This summer, we gave our interns a list of challenges designed to get them out of their comfort zones and encourage them to explore, learn, design, build, and have a little fun along the way.

The list included tasks like sitting in on a client design meeting, helping solve an issue in the field, creating a detail sheet in Revit, visit an active roofing project, and researching and presenting a compelling case that Bigfoot is actually an ultra-dimensional being capable of moving between dimensions—which would explain why, despite decades of searching, no one has managed to find him.

You know, the standard skills every young design professional needs.

Hannah tackled the list and became the first intern to check off every challenge this summer. Congratulations, Hannah!

Now the pressure is officially on for the rest of the interns. 👀

It's exciting to see the new Vincent Village facility continue to take shape. Watching a project move from drawings to reality is always rewarding, but even more so when it will have such a meaningful impact on the community.

We're grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Vincent Village Inc. and Weigand Construction on this important project. Great partnerships are what make projects like this possible, and we can't wait to see the finished facility serve families for years to come.

To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, I spent the day drawing George Washington for the Chalk Walk.

Somewhere along the way he ended up wearing sunglasses and a bandana. History doesn’t mention them, but it also doesn’t specifically rule them out.
