🧶❤️ CALLING ALL KNITTERS & CROCHETERS! ❤️🧶

We’ve got a little mission for our fiber-loving community, and this one is guaranteed to warm some hearts AND heads!

Thread the Needle Stitchery is collecting handmade knit and crochet beanies for the kids at Holston Home for Children right here in Greeneville!

Holston Home cares for approximately 56 boys and girls, ranging in age from 11 to 22, with an average age of 15.

🎯 OUR GOAL: 56 HATS FOR 56 HEADS!

That’s 56 warm heads and 56 reminders that someone out there cares. ❤️

Here’s what we’re looking for:

🧶 Handmade knit or crochet beanies

🧣 Teen and young adult sizes, in a variety of colors and styles suitable for boys and girls

🏡 Hats must be made and stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment

📅 DEADLINE: DECEMBER 5, 2026

🪡 WHAT WE’RE STITCHING

Stacie: I actually FINISHED something! Pumpkin’ Pickin’ by Annie Beez Folk Art is ready for our Autumn Swap, complete with scalloped edging and a flower I crocheted myself. A little help from my sweet friend Angel got everything lined up on the board!

One finish down… approximately 437 projects to go. 😂

Monica: She’s back from her travels and working on another Wheat Stitch Pumpkin by Brianna K Designs! Her friend Maureen loved last year’s pumpkin so much that she requested another at the Beach Retreat.

And naturally, Monica couldn’t say no! 🧶

Thread the Needle Stitchery is celebrating Malabrigo Day on Saturday, October 24, 2026! Knitters, crocheters, and enthusiastic collectors of ‘future projects’ are all welcome.

We’ll be sharing the details here over the next two weeks. For now: save the date, tell your fiber friends, and consider this your very reasonable excuse to think about yarn. Again.

We're trading needles and floss for baseballs and ballpark snacks!
Danny, my son, is playing in a Halloween baseball tournament, complete with a GLOW BALL HOME RUN DERBY! 🌙⚾
And if you know me, you know this baseball mama isn't missing a minute of it!
The stitching can wait. My boy's only young once, and Mama has some cheering to do! 📣
We'll be back to our regularly scheduled stitching shenanigans in November.

Apparently we have a slight problem with leaving well enough alone around here. 😏

We’ve been busy adding new goodies to the shop this week, and there’s a little something for everybody — cross stitchers, fabric collectors, knitters and crocheters!

**NEW IN THE SHOP**

We’ve added a beautiful new selection of **Under the Sea Fabrics**, available in multiple counts of Aida and linen.

These are the kinds of neutrals that quietly whisper, “You definitely need fabric for that chart you haven’t started yet.”

You know who you are.

We also have a whole batch of **new designs from de mère en fille**! There’s a mix of autumn, winter, Christmas, birds, snowmen and plenty of temptation involved.

**YARN PEOPLE — WE HAVEN’T FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU! 🧶**

New **Genesis Yarn from Forbidden Fiber Co.** is now in the shop! This fingering-weight yarn comes in eight gorgeous colorways and is ready for your next knitting or crochet project.

Because we fully support buying yarn before deciding what you’re going to make with it.

We’ve also added **new Wichelt fabrics and stitching banding**, perfect for ornaments, smaller projects and those finishes we swear we’re going to get done before Christmas.

Which Christmas remains unspecified. 😉

**STITCHTOBER — WEEK ONE IS ALMOST DONE! 🍂**

Our **Fall Finish Up** promotion ends at **midnight on October 10th**, so if you’ve been eyeing an autumn project, now’s the time!
