Every element of this primary suite was thoughtfully designed to simplify the rituals of everyday life, from getting dressed in the morning to unwinding at the end of the day. It is a reflection of our belief that exceptional design is measured not only by how a home looks, but by how deeply it supports the people who live within it. The result is a primary suite that is elegant, highly functional, and ultimately a place our clients will never want to leave.

Originally conceived as an expansive primary suite, this space challenged us to rethink what luxury truly feels like. While many would embrace the generous square footage, we saw an opportunity to do something unexpected, bringing intimacy to grandeur by reshaping the architecture itself.

The Primary Bedroom
One of the most powerful tools in our process is 3D modeling. It allows our clients to truly experience their future home before construction ever begins. From exploring layout options to fine-tuning the details, this visual clarity builds confidence in every design decision. By the time we’re ready to break ground, everyone is aligned, the direction is clear, and the vision feels tangible. It’s a game-changer! Throughout the build, the model remains accessible to the entire team, providing a shared reference point that eliminates confusion and keeps the project moving forward with precision and intention.

The Primary Bedroom
At the heart of the suite is one of our signature design elements, the bed alcove. By gently recessing the bed into its own architectural niche, the sleeping area feels tucked away and wonderfully intimate. Together, the bedroom, baths, and dressing rooms embody our belief that the most memorable homes are designed around how people want to feel. Every architectural detail, finish, and furnishing was selected to create a retreat that is timeless and designed for a life well lived.

The Primary Suite
The primary suite was envisioned as a true retreat, a destination within the home designed for slowing down and restoration. Wrapped in a soft sage green palette with a delicate dancing floral wallpaper, the room evokes the quiet charm of an English cottage while remaining timeless and refined. Rather than designing the space solely for sleeping, we envisioned a place to begin and end each day with intention.

This historic home is being lovingly reimagined with a reverence for the past and a devotion to craft in every detail. Our design approach layers in architectural richness, custom millwork, and storied materials that speak back to the home’s original language—ensuring that as our clients move through each space, they feel as if they’ve stepped into another moment in time.

Nestled in the town of Pittsford, this grand home is marked by its commanding front pillars, timeless symmetry and stands as a piece of history. Built in an era of Georgian and Colonial inspiration in 1920, the house has long carried an air of distinction. Over the years, modern updates softened some of its original voice, and our task is to restore the home to the spirit of its golden era. This signature project is one where heart, history, and home all converge.

The Kitchen
Throughout the kitchen, the cabinetry is designed to read as timeless furniture rather than built-ins. Carved corbels, wood-lined interiors, and cremone bolts add a sense of craftsmanship, while gathered fabric curtains soften upper glass-front cabinetry and conceal lower storage in place of traditional doors. A brass pot hanger suspended above the island becomes both a functional centerpiece and a nod to old-world kitchens, encouraging beautiful cookware to become part of the room’s story.

I never could have written our team post if it weren’t for Kristin.

When Kristin joined Lindsay Laine Interiors, about two years into the business, it was supposed to be for just three months.

At the time, my website was built on Vistaprint, my project photos were iPhone snapshots, and while I knew what Lindsay Laine was capable of, the world couldn’t truly see it.

Then Kristin picked up her camera.

Through her lens, people finally saw the craftsmanship, the details, and the feeling created inside my clients’ homes. She transformed how our work was presented, and in so many ways, she transformed the trajectory of this business.

But what she’s done goes so much deeper than photography.

Kristin is the creative force behind so much of our brand. She has an extraordinary eye for design, incredible instincts, and a gift for seeing what something can become long before anyone else does.

Over the years, we’ve traveled all over the country together. We’ve attended Cabinet College, explored remote corners of the country in search of design inspiration, walked markets, toured factories, and spent countless hours dreaming about what Lindsay Laine could become. She’s my favorite travel companion, the person I bounce every big idea off of, my rock through every season of growth, and one of the brightest strategic minds behind this company.

Most of all, she’s the kind of person who makes everyone around her feel valued, seen, and deeply loved.

She’s not just a teammate.

She’s family.

And every single day, I thank God for placing her in my life.
