A room can have plenty of pattern and still feel restful.

Here, a graceful floral wallpaper sets the tone, while a custom upholstered headboard in a subtle stripe and custom pillows bring in smaller layers of pattern and texture. Soft greens, blues, and a touch of blush keep everything connected.

This is one of my favorite parts of designing a home: finding the combinations that give a room depth and character, right down to the last pillow.

The best part of installation day? Watching my clients feel at home. 🤍

Every decision I make starts with the people who live there, their personalities, the things they love, and how they spend their days. I want my clients to walk into the finished space and see themselves in it, from the pieces that catch their eye to the chair they can’t wait to settle into.

A few moments from yesterday’s walkthrough, with Baxter providing the soundtrack courtesy of his squeaky toy. He seems to feel right at home, too. 🐾

Sometimes, the most interesting thing in a room is the thing you didn’t see coming.

A vivid painting against a moody blue wall. Expressive florals layered over botanical wallpaper. A small piece that makes you pause in a passing space.

Art has a wonderful way of changing how a room feels. It can bring energy to a quiet palette, soften formal architecture, or introduce a little unexpected tension that makes everything around it more interesting.

And original art brings something especially meaningful: the artist’s hand. The texture, the individual brushstrokes, the subtle variations…details that a mass-produced reproduction simply can’t capture in the same way. You’re welcoming someone’s imagination and skill into your home, while supporting the person who created it.

One of my favorite parts of interior design is helping clients in Greenville, SC and across the Upstate discover original art they connect with. Something that catches their eye, stirs a memory, or makes them smile every time they walk past.

That’s the kind of art worth making room for.

Comfort, color, and a TV that shares the spotlight instead of being the main focus. ✨

This morning’s design presentation received the green light, and I’m sharing a little peek at the details!

My clients had three priorities: furniture you can truly settle into, performance fabrics that make everyday living easy, and plenty of color. We also planned a gallery wall that incorporates their Frame TV, allowing it to feel like part of the art collection.

The result is a layered, welcoming space with personality and comfort woven into every selection.

Fourteen, with a room she can grow into. 🌸

For this teen’s bedroom, we paired a playful floral ceiling with custom bedding in soft blush and ivory, a cane bed, and beautiful art, giving her a space that feels fresh and youthful, with details she can enjoy for years to come.

A sweet balance of who she is today and room for who she’ll become. 🩷
