This post is going to make me emotional. We’ve worked SOOO hard for this moment. 🥹

Lisa Best Interiors Design Studio will be opening its doors in downtown at the beginning of the new year!

Watching my husband and our kids help tear down this wall means more to me than they probably realize. This has been my dream, but getting here has taken all of us.

Growing a business while raising a family comes with a lot of juggling, second-guessing, and figuring things out as you go. Seeing my family here, helping turn this space into our studio, makes me feel so proud and so thankful.

One day, I hope the kids walk in and say, “We helped build this.” Because they did. And I hope they remember being part of something their mom worked so hard for. 🤍

Travis, thank you for the work you’re putting into this space and for being beside me through it all.

We’re so excited to call Fulshear our new home and become part of this community, while continuing to serve our wonderful Katy clients and all of West Houston. I can’t wait to welcome you into a space of our own!

One bedroom, two different directions. ✨

One embraces bold florals and playful layers. The other brings in softer botanical details, warm neutrals, and a little contrast. Both feel inviting, personal, and thoughtfully pulled together.

This is why I love creating renderings—seeing the whole room come together makes it so much easier to choose your direction before making purchases.

20 bathrooms designed this year so far, and this one is a favorite. 🤍

Twenty might not sound like a lot at first, but there’s so much that goes into designing even one bathroom. Measuring the space, working through layouts, planning storage, selecting tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and finishes—and making sure it all works together.

Then come the drawings, elevations, 3D renderings, specifications, and revisions. Every bathroom is its own puzzle, with dozens of decisions behind the design you see here.

What I love most about this one is how all the details come together—the soft sage botanical wallpaper, the warmth of the wood vanity, and those brass bamboo mirrors. The vanity’s furniture-style legs and little almond-shaped k***s give it so much character, while the marble adds a soft, classic touch.

It feels warm, collected, and timeless. Exactly the kind of space I love creating.

Feeling proud of the work that went into those 20 bathrooms and grateful to the clients who trusted me with them.

We got lucky with this layout! The tandem garage directly behind the kitchen gave us the space to add a coffee bar, oversized pantry, and mudroom! Such a smart way to turn underused square footage into spaces this family will enjoy every day. What do you think of the new layout?
