A room seen in a magazine captures a moment, but a book tells a larger story.
This season, four designers I’m fortunate to call friends and clients have new monographs out, each offering a distinct window into taste, instinct, and the art of living with antiques.

Head over to my confessions post to read my full reflections on their work and how antiques give these spaces a soul, link in bio!

This fellow is normally racing around our La Cienega courtyard, darting up and down trees and generally keeping very busy.
But during this heat wave, even he seems to have decided it is simply too hot, and that the better course is to stretch out and take it easy. 18th-century English staddle stones were intended to deter critters but today they make excellent personal sunbeds. Just ask our courtyard critic. ☀️

Stepping inside Tim Clarke Design for a masterclass in texture, tone, and timeless materiality.
Every corner of the space is meticulously layered, where historic depth seamlessly meets clean, modern forms. Swipe through to explore the details, from the commanding antique wooden console and rustic glazed ceramics to the grid of abstract oil paintings by French artist Lucien Bénière that anchor the main vignette.

True character isn’t built overnight, it is etched into a hand-planed surface, softened over centuries, or cast in the shadow of a bold architectural frame. In our latest LookBook, we explore what happens when historic patinas meet saturated depth and striking, intentional color.

This delicate tension comes to life through our collaboration with Sydney Harbour Paint Company at Tim Clarke Design

Explore and inquire about the featured pieces via the link in our bio, or experience the exhibition in person at Tim’s studio. I will be in the space on Tuesday, September 17th from 11 AM to 2 PM to share insights and walk you through the collection.
