We provide Window Treatments, Reupholstery and Refinishing, Slipcovers and Cushions, Blinds, Shades, Ours is a true love story about family and fabric.

In 1949, Len (known to all as "Alex") and Greta Alexander began selling the "ends," or remnants, of large bolts of home textile fabrics and dress goods procured through their brother-in-law via a shipping terminal in Paterson, NJ. They opened their own business, Terminal Mill Ends, in the "country" - then "faraway" Union. Their daughter Nina joined them in 1978 and established a focus on interior design. Today, we are the Decorating Store at Terminal Mill Ends - a nod to the past in our name, with eyes solidly on the future. Under the leadership of Nina's husband, Ernie Spinelli, the location moved to Mountainside with a fresh look and expanded offerings in home décor - furniture, carpet, rugs and accessories. But the legacy of the Alexander family remains - the warmth and helpful atmosphere created all those years ago. Family and fabric - still together after all these years!

We've talked about Roman Shades ad nauseam in this space--nothing more timely than an ancient Latin joke--but that doesn't mean we can't show off one of our favorites from just because it looks so lovely.

Why buy new when the perfect furniture is already in your house?

The owner of this sofa knew the bones were sound--just needed a new paint job. Using .fabrics, this reupholstery has the sofa looking brand new.

Cafe curtains.

Are they for you? What are they? Do I need to own a cafe to have them?

A: Yes, of course. I mean, only if you want them to be.
B: Curtains that start about 1/4 of the way down on your window, letting light in from the top and control from side-to-side. In other words, very customizable.
C: No, but if you're interested in buying a cafe and having us install them there, we won't say no.

Sometimes we do windows. Sometimes we do windows+.

This room needed a refresh from head-to-toe. So first we started by suggesting a decluttering of the relatively small room--makes a huge difference.

From there, we used a horizontally on this cornice and installed a textured roller blackout shade underneath--perfect for visiting grandkids to get that extra bit of sleep!

Beach houses are supposed to be fun and light--and that's exactly what we were tasked with doing for this customer.

In the kitchen and living room, we went with a featuring a white and blue geometric pattern in linen that instantly modernized and brightened both spaces.

Cheers to our friends at ! They've been open now for a couple of months in Madison, NJ, so we had to stop by to check out the b**rs and our handiwork. We recommend the faux-leather restaurant booth seating and Sunstruck Hoppy Blonde b**r (not in that order 😆)

One of the many things we love about are their versatility. These roman shades work with and without draperies, come in all sorts of colors and styles and would be a perfect compliment to any room in your home.
