Hook & Shadow Designs Seasoned fiber artist specializing in handcrafted crocheted fashion accessories, home/seasonal decor and 3D layered card stock shadowbox framed art.

I learned to crochet over 40 years ago and started off making blankets for family and friends. After retiring from my career in 2018, I began to crochet in earnest learning new techniques and making a wide variety of items. With encouragement from others, I forayed into the world of selling my items, starting with small local vendor shows. In 2020, I decided to formally launch my "hobby" as a busi

ness, called Expressions in Yarn. I have found my passion for making fashion apparel and accessories along with home and seasonal decor. I have been inspired by the designs of so many talented designers and am now beginning to create my own designs. At the end of 2023, thanks to my good friend Mary, I was introduced to shadowbox framed art at a workshop. It piqued my interest as something I could make and sell year round. After creating a few for Christmas gifts, I was hooked and began to pursue avenues to sell them. I look forward growing this aspect of my business too which led me to changing the name of my business to Hook & Shadow Designs, creative expressions in yarn & paper.
