New project kickoff in Scottsdale with ArDan Construction

This 2,223 sq ft kitchen and bath remodel is being designed to feel exactly the way our client asked for it: clean, elegant, and timeless.

In the kitchen, we’re moving from a dated, honey-toned space to a refined design with rich dark brown cabinetry, Taj Mahal-inspired counters, creamy tile, brushed plumbing fixtures, classic lantern-style lighting, and thoughtful storage details that make the room feel both elevated and easy to live in.

The guest bath is getting a complete refresh with warm neutral tile, updated vanities, framed mirrors, brushed fixtures, layered lighting, robe hooks, and a shampoo niche to make the space feel brighter, cleaner, and more intentional.

And in the living room, we’re taking the fireplace from dated and visually heavy to clean and architectural with stacked stone, warm wood shelving, soft neutral paint, and a timeless palette that ties beautifully into the rest of the home.

This is the kind of remodel where the details matter: floor plan adjustments, lighting updates, finish selections, storage, sightlines, and the little choices that make a home feel effortlessly pulled together.

Respectfully… this is how design emergencies begin. 😅

Your countertop is not living alone on an island — even if it is literally on an island.

It has to work with your flooring, cabinetry, wall color, lighting, furnishings, and yes… sometimes the carpet lurking nearby.

Because “it looked pretty in the showroom” is how beautiful materials end up in very awkward relationships. The goal is for everything to feel intentional, connected, and like it belongs in the same home. This creates harmony and makes us feel safe.

Post-demo walkthrough day with TSE Construction and this is one of the most important checkpoints in any remodel.

This is the moment when the walls are open, the assumptions are gone, and we finally get to see what the house has been hiding.

Before demo, we always prepare our clients for this reality: we can plan carefully, measure thoroughly, and design thoughtfully… but we cannot see behind walls until they’re opened.

That’s why the post-demo walkthrough matters so much.

It gives the design and construction team the chance to identify surprises, solve critical issues, adjust details if needed, and make smart decisions before we move forward with rough-ins, framing, plumbing, electrical, and all the beautiful finishes everyone is waiting for.

And yes, it is always a relief when what we find is small and easily remedied.

This is where experience matters. Not because surprises never happen, but because the right team knows how to handle them before they become bigger problems.

Follow along as we bring this Paradise Valley home to life with TSE Construction.

New project kickoff. We’re transforming this 3,058 sq ft Paradise Valley home with a kitchen expansion, bath addition, and thoughtful updates designed to make the floor plan work beautifully for the way this family lives.

Here’s what’s coming:

An expanded kitchen with warm wood cabinetry, deep blue island details, layered tile, updated lighting, and functional storage. We’re kicking off a 3,058 sq ft kitchen + bath addition with TSE Construction and this one is all about making a home function beautifully for real family life.

In this video, we’re walking through the “before” and talking through what’s changing: reworking bedrooms and bathrooms, solving tiny closet issues, expanding the kitchen, making room for serious appliances like Wolf and Sub-Zero, and creating a better flow for how this family actually lives every day.

This is the part of design people don’t always see — before the pretty finishes, before the after photos, before the reveal. It starts with the layout, the problems, the opportunities, and the decisions that make the finished home feel effortless.
