🚐 SWB Renault Trafic Conversion – Progress Update! 🔨

A lot has happened since our last updates!

There’s been plenty of progress since our last update, with some big steps forward:

✅ Full insulation completed
✅ Grey carpet lining throughout
✅ Window surrounds professionally finished
✅ Ceiling fitted with recessed LED lighting
✅ Solar panel installed on the roof

The interior is really starting to come together now, and we’re looking forward to getting stuck into the next stage of the conversion! 👀

🚐 SWB Renault Trafic Conversion – Progress Update! 🔨

Another update from the workshop as we continue transforming this SWB Renault Trafic!

So far, we’ve been busy with:

✅ Cutting out and preparing the two window openings
✅ Fitting recycled plastic insulation into the lower cavities
✅ Measuring, cutting and joining the roof plywood
✅ Drilling the ceiling cut-outs for the lighting
✅ Preparing the side wall plywood around the new window openings

There’s plenty more to come as this van starts to take shape! 👀

🚐 NEW CAMPERVAN CONVERSION UNDERWAY!

Another project has arrived at Cymru Campers, and this one’s going to be a bit different! 🔥

We’ve made a start by stripping the van back and getting it ready for its transformation into a bespoke campervan.

This build will feature U-shaped seating, custom furniture and a dedicated gaming PC setup, alongside a full electrical system to make it suitable for life on the road.

I’ll be sharing regular updates as the build progresses, so keep an eye on the page to see this one come together!

🚐 FROM EX-POLICE VEHICLE TO CAMPERVAN!

Another one completed here at Cymru Campers 🔥

This Transit crew cab came to us as an ex-police surveillance vehicle, and the aim was to transform the rear into a practical camping setup while making the most of the space available.

We designed and fitted a bespoke pod unit incorporating:

💧 Fresh & waste water storage
🔋 Split-charge relay system
🔌 230V mains hook-up

Summer has absolutely flown by, and what a busy few months it’s been!

A few more pictures of this Crafter 👀

A few more shots of this VW Crafter MWB conversion we completed in collaboration with Caddy Campers.

There’s loads of little details in this one that are easy to miss in the main pictures. We’ve tried to make the most of every bit of space, whilst keeping everything practical and looking smart.

The bespoke sink pod with folding worktop, dedicated toilet area, overhead lockers, kitchen storage and the pull-out drawer in the walkway all make the space really usable.

We also went for a grey, black and gloss finish with the slatted panels and plenty of LED lighting to give it a bit of character.

Really happy with how this one came together, especially taking the customer’s original ideas and turning them into a finished camper.

VW Crafter MWB Camper Conversion 🚌🏕️

A recent bespoke VW Crafter MWB conversion that we collaborated with Caddy Campers on, bringing a customer’s own layout ideas to life.

The project initially started with the electrical side of the conversion, installing a full lithium leisure system, 400W solar, DC-DC charging, 3000W inverter and mains charging, for an off grid set up.

From the customer’s initial sketch, we developed the interior around their ideas and built a practical camper that makes full use of the available space.

The finished conversion features a bespoke kitchen area with stainless-steel sink, fresh and waste water containers, twin induction hob, 800W microwave, grill/air fryer and 12V compressor fridge.

We also incorporated a dedicated toilet area, overhead storage lockers, LED strip lighting, flexible reading lights, mains and inverter sockets, along with plenty of additional storage throughout.

The sleeping arrangement is built around a versatile single/double bed system, allowing the space to be changed depending on how the van is being used. There’s generous storage underneath the beds, along with a pull-out drawer underneath the central walkway to make use of every available bit of space.

The interior was finished in a clean grey, black and gloss finish, with the slatted wall sections and blue ambient lighting adding a distinctive touch to the finished camper.

A great project from taking a customer’s initial sketch and turning it into a fully functional, bespoke camper conversion.
