It’s been a wonderfully woolly few years! I’ve started up in a new home studio (the commute is excellent, although I keep getting distracted by the kettle), got back into screen printing, and taught lots of tartan courses — including the ever-popular Weaving the Journey beginners’ course.
We’ve woven, designed, tangled, untangled, and occasionally admired a knot while pretending it was meant to look like that. It’s all part of the creative process. Obviously. 🧶
Now it’s time to try something different for 2027. Introducing Challenge 2027!
What would you like me to teach next? It needs to be weaving-related, have a bit of tartan design in the mix, and most importantly, be fun. A new class? A creative workshop? A wonderfully bonkers weaving challenge? I’m all ears — and they’re not full of yarn. Yet.
Drop your ideas in the comments. They can be clever, silly, ambitious, or “I want to weave a tartan for my cat”. No idea is too out there… although weaving while holding a cup of tea may require a risk assessment. ☕️
Help me dream up something brilliant for 2027 — I’ll see what I can weave into reality. Sorry. That pun was inevitable.
