Interior designer with a friendly approach. Specialist in bespoke soft furnishings & furniture. My projects range from entire houses to single rooms.

I have been established as an Interior Designer in Harpenden for over 25 years. Having studied textile design I went to work for Laura Ashley and studied for a degree in Interior Design before starting my own business in 1990. The majority of my work has been in private homes however I have also undertaken the refurbishment of commercial properties. While I am passionate about my work I do not impose my ideas upon my clients, I take on board the clients requirements and preferences and interpret these, working their ideas into practical beautiful interiors.

What’s every one up to today? We were always the Halloween house and I miss the parties and trick or treating now my kids have grown up. So we’re off out did dinner instead.

Really enjoyed transforming this en suite bathroom.

We are currently working on 3 other bathrooms all very different, so watch this space.

There are lots to coordinate including 8 trades on one of our current jobs , so keeps us on our toes.

Surround yourself with people who lift you up, celebrate your wins and make you feel good about life.

A positive outlook doesn’t mean everything is perfect, but it can change how you see things and what you attract into your life.

Good energy is contagious, and so is kindness.

One of my favourite parts of interior design is seeing a scheme gradually come together.

It starts with gathering inspiration, exploring colours, fabrics, textures and finishes, then playing around with different combinations until everything feels just right.

I love this stage of the process, seeing how one fabric can bring a whole scheme together or how an unexpected colour can make all the difference.

But the loveliest part is seeing clients leave my studio full of excitement, with a real sense of how their home is going to look and feel.
