Transformation of our Notting Hill Project | Master Ensuite

What started as a cold and uninspiring master ensuite was transformed into a calm and inviting sanctuary, a space designed to make starting and ending the day feel a little more special.

We wanted the new ensuite to feel warm, considered and personal, creating a sense of calm from the moment you step inside. A carefully selected palette of natural materials, soft tones and layered textures brings depth and character to the space, while considered lighting creates a gentle atmosphere throughout the day.

Every detail was designed to balance functionality with a feeling of comfort and indulgence, turning what was once a purely functional room into a space to retreat to.

The result is a master ensuite that feels intimate, timeless and quietly luxurious, a private sanctuary designed around our clients and the way they live.

Transformation of our Notting Hill Project | Dining

What started as a disproportionately large hallway, an oversized WC and a small kitchen dining at the rear of the house was rethought entirely to make better use of every square metre.

We completely reconfigured the ground floor, creating a generous dining area directly adjacent to the kitchen. This transformed the way the space could be used, creating a much more natural setting for entertaining, sharing meals and spending time with family.

Sliding doors between the kitchen and dining area allow the spaces to remain open and connected, or be closed off when needed.

We carefully integrated a home office at the front of the floor, while the previously unused space beneath the staircase became a practical utility and plant room.

The entire floor was, in many ways, a puzzle of how to make every part of the house work harder. Through careful planning and coordination, we were able to maximise the available space without compromising the feeling of calm and openness.

For us, good design is about much more than how a home looks. It’s about making sure every space has a purpose and that the way a home functions feels as considered as the way it looks.

The result is a ground floor that feels calm, cohesive and effortless, while working beautifully for everyday family life and entertaining.

Transformation of our Notting Hill Project | Living Room

What started as an uninspiring and closed-off first floor, divided into two separate rooms with a large area of unused space in between, was reimagined as one generous and flexible living space.

We opened up the floor to create a more natural flow between the spaces, introducing a library and movie room alongside a generous seating area. Large sliding doors allow the rooms to be separated when needed, giving the space flexibility while maintaining a strong sense of connection when open.

The new layout also creates a much stronger arrival at first floor level, makes better use of the previously unused space and maximises the natural light throughout the floor.

The aim was to create a space that feels calm and nurturing at the end of a busy day, but equally welcoming when entertaining and spending time with family and friends.

We also transformed the fireplace with a more contemporary treatment, creating a refined focal point at the centre of the home. Alongside it, a bespoke bar provides a more personal touch and a space for our clients to showcase their personality and love of entertaining.

The result is a living space designed around real life, somewhere to retreat, gather, entertain and simply enjoy being at home.

Transformation of our Notting Hill Project | Kitchen

What started as a dark, dated 1990s kitchen with a boxy layout and a small doors leading to the garden felt disconnected from the rest of the home and lacked natural light.

We opened up the connection to the garden, introducing large sliding doors to bring in more light and create a stronger relationship between the kitchen and the outdoors.

A curved edge to the island softens the layout, allowing for a more natural flow through the space, while light timber and Taj Mahal quartzite bring a sense of understated luxury and warmth.

The result is a bright, inviting and highly functional kitchen designed around how our clients love to live, cook, gather and entertain.

A complete transformation, creating a space that feels considered, comfortable and connected to its surroundings.

Swipe to see the before.

Choosing an Interior Designer: Where Do You Start?

One of the biggest decisions you’ll make during a renovation is choosing the right designer.

But with so many designers and studios out there, where do you begin? Should you work with a large practice or a smaller studio? What questions should you ask? How do design fees work? And how do you know if someone is the right fit for your project?

In this second episode of our renovation series, Kashi shares practical advice on finding and choosing a designer, understanding the different ways designers work, and what to look for before making your decision.

At the end of the day, a successful project isn’t just about great design, it’s about finding someone you trust to guide you through the process.

We are equally thrilled to have received a second nomination at the BIID Interior Design Awards for our Oolite House project in the Cotswolds. To have two projects recognised this year is an incredible honour, especially alongside so many talented and respected designers.

Oolite House is a new-build home carefully set into a sloping site within the Cotswolds landscape. The interiors were designed with a calm and considered material palette, drawing on natural textures and timeless finishes that feel purposeful rather than showy. Every detail was chosen to create spaces that feel nurturing, grounded, and deeply connected to their surroundings.

We worked alongside as architects, collaborating closely to shape a home where architecture and interiors feel seamlessly integrated, balancing simplicity, warmth, and understated elegance throughout.

It has been such a rewarding project to bring to life, and we are so excited to see it recognised on this year’s shortlist.

We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for a BIID Interior Design Awards for our Northshore project on Hayling Island. It’s a real honour to be recognised alongside such talented and respected designers.

Northshore is a newly built family home inspired by the owners’ deep roots on the island. Designed as a place for gathering, quality time, and lasting memories, the home was created to be enjoyed for generations to come. The brief was to create a refined seaside retreat that balances the clean architectural lines of the property with understated luxury, softness, comfort, and calm, layered interiors.

We were overseeing the interior detailing throughout, from bathrooms, kitchens, finishes, and lighting to furniture, styling, and the overall atmosphere of the home.

It has been an incredibly rewarding project to bring to life, and we are so excited to finally share it while also being recognised on the shortlist.

Do You Need an Architect or an Interior Designer? Understanding the Difference

When starting a project, there are many decisions you need to make, and it often begins with understanding which professionals you need to involve. One common point of confusion is the difference between an architect and an interior designer.

Both roles can overlap in terms of skills and responsibilities, but there are also significant differences. In this video, we explore what sets them apart, where their work intersects, and whether they can both be involved in the same project.

This is the first video in a series where we explore the ins and outs of working with professionals during a renovation project. Stay tuned for more insights as we break down each stage of the process.
