Once again, now for something a little bit different!

Vintage pound notes are lovely reminders of our younger years but when they are in excellent condition and have sequential numbers they become collectable and worth more than their face value.
We are selling these on behalf of a lovely customer, Beryl. Lets hope they sell and give her a little surprise.

We got an answer!!!

The little mallet on the right. We guessed it was a jewelers mallet because its tiny. It also has a concave top which we didnt understand.

Our good customer Tim who volunteers at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard recognised it!

Its called a Servers Mallet and this tool is being used now, to restore The Victory in Portsmouth.
It is used when a rope is made around another rope.

This week we start with Chess.

We have two superb sets for sale and are in the "shop shop" NOW!

We describe the colourful sets as of Turkish/Asian origins and second as Gothic.
Both are obviously hand made and in excellent condition.

Were you there?!

I thought i post something a little bit different?
Trying to sort through, and clear, without success, some of my stored possessions and I found these cards where I stuck all of the old tickets I kept.

Here is a small selection of the events I went to.

Did you go to these venues / events?

I would be most interested in anyone who knows about The Archway Tavern in London.
My drunken memory tells me thats where I saw a band playing U2 and Simple Minds.
But im fairly sure this was where I was expected to donate to the IRA! Irish pub, North London? Wind up?!
