✨ A VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

I’m incredibly proud to share that Lex Designs has been named a Winner at the European Property Awards 2026–2027. 🏆

This recognition feels even more special because this isn’t my first European Property Award. Two years ago, Lex Designs was also honoured with an award — but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the ceremony and experience that moment in person.

This time, I’m so excited to be changing that. 🤎

In just a few weeks, I’ll be heading to London to attend the European Property Awards ceremony and collect my award, alongside incredible design winners from across Europe. 🇬🇧✨

It’s a very proud moment for me personally and for Lex Designs — a reminder of how far the studio has come since I started it in 2018.

From Malta to London, and another award to add to the journey. 🏆

Thank you to every client who has trusted me with their homes, spaces and visions. This one means a lot. 🤎

Why materials matter ✨

The right materials can completely transform a space.

It’s not just about how something looks, but how it feels, ages and works together. Natural textures, quality finishes and a considered mix of materials can instantly make a home feel more elevated, cohesive and timeless.

Because great design isn’t about adding more — it’s about choosing better. 🤍

Communication is key. ✨

I truly believe the key to a successful interior design project is communication.

From the very first conversation to the final finishing touches, keeping an open dialogue ensures that everyone is on the same page — from ideas and expectations to budgets, timelines and those little details that make all the difference.

Good communication means fewer surprises, better decisions and a project that truly reflects the client.

Because great design isn’t created in isolation — it’s created together. 🤍

How to choose the right table shape for your space? ✨

The shape of your dining table can completely change how a room looks, feels and functions.

Round — great for smaller spaces and encourages conversation.
Rectangular — ideal for larger rooms and works well for bigger families.
Oval — gives you the flexibility of a rectangular table with softer, more flowing lines.
Square — works beautifully in balanced, square-shaped rooms.

But don’t forget to consider circulation, seating and the overall proportions of the room before choosing.

Because the right table isn’t just about what you love — it needs to work with your space. 🤍

Want your home to look more expensive? ✨

It’s not always about spending more. It’s about making the right design choices.

Think: layered lighting, a cohesive colour palette, quality-looking materials, thoughtful proportions, less clutter and those little details that make a space feel intentional.

Luxury is often in the details, not the price tag.

Designing a rental? There’s more to consider than just making it look good. ✨

When designing a rental property, there are a few important questions to ask before choosing colours, furniture and finishes.

✨ What’s the target tenant?
✨ What’s the budget?
✨ What colour scheme will work best?
✨ How durable and easy to maintain are the materials?
✨ How can we make the space feel high-end without overspending?
✨ What will make the property stand out in the rental market?

A rental needs to be beautiful, practical, durable and commercially smart.

Here are just a few things I consider when designing a rental property. 🤍

3 things to consider when designing a kitchen ✨

A kitchen needs to be beautiful, but more importantly, it needs to work for you.

1. Layout & flow — Make sure the space feels effortless to move around and that your main work zones are positioned logically.

2. Storage — Plan storage around how you actually use your kitchen. The goal? Everything has a place and worktops stay clutter-free.

3. Materials & lighting — Choose finishes that are durable, practical and timeless, then layer your lighting to create both functionality and atmosphere.

Good kitchen design is where function meets beautiful design. 🤍

Designing small spaces ✨

Small doesn’t have to mean cramped.

The key is to make every centimetre work harder — from clever storage and furniture proportions to the right lighting, colours and materials.

✨ Use vertical space
✨ Keep the layout functional
✨ Choose furniture that fits the scale
✨ Use mirrors and lighting to create a sense of openness
✨ Keep the design cohesive and clutter-free

Good design isn’t about how much space you have — it’s about how you use it.
