I feel a fabric sale coming on! We've had so many incredible new fabrics arrive in the past couple weeks, and we need to clear some room, so let's have a Labor Day Sale! Plus, it's too hot to really do anything else... Here's the rundown:

Want to spend a cozy autumn with a knitting project in your lap? I know it doesn't feel like it this week, but this is the best time to get started on your knitting journey if you want to be knitting beanies by the holidays and sweaters in the new year! We have two beginner classes starting at the end of next week- a Friday afternoon session starting the 11th and a Saturday morning session starting the 12th. And if you know the basics and have been dreaming of toasty toes, we also have a beginner sock class starting on the 12th!
Our next beginner knitting class won't be until January, so head over to the classes tab at freemanscreative.com to sign up!

We're having a supply swap! We've all got supplies that are taking up space and not getting used... Bring your clean and usable supplies such as yarn (whole or partial skeins), fabric (yardage, precuts, FQs, no tiny scraps or worn out clothes), patterns and books, Notions, needles, hooks, and other handcraft accessories. You are also welcome to bring handmade garments and partially completed projects. This event is always fun and full of treasures! We spend the first 15 minutes sorting materials, and then open the floor for swapping!
All supplies left at the end of the swap will be donated to the The Scrap Exchange Reuse Arts Center + Thrift Store

Have you ever heard of sock blanks? They are made up of two strands of sock yarn machine knit together, so you can dye up two socks that will match, or other projects where color changes will mirror each other.

We've got a class next Saturday morning with instructor Amie Palmer where you will get to dye your own sock blanks to create custom colorways! All materials are provided, and there is no experience necessary! Come try your hand at yarn dyeing!

Y'all have been loving our large format printing service, and now we have a new feature! You can purchase the PDF and have it printed directly through us now! We've started out with shop favorite, Closet Core Patterns as well as their partner brand, Deer and Doe ! We are especially thrilled to add Deer and Doe so we can see model and founder Camille Barot - Maison Hart even more often!
You'll find PDF patterns in both the Sewing Pattern and the Large Format Printing tabs of our online shop. You'll have the option to purchase just the PDF, or the PDF plus printing at $4/page!
We'll be adding additional lines in the coming weeks. This function is through Replic , so designers do need to add their collections to the platform in order for them to be available to us, so we won't have everything on your printing wishlist. For everything else, you can use our standard PDF printing and upload your files!

Extra summer daylight means more time for crafting! Our August classes are open for registration, and there are lots of opportunities to learn a new skill or try a new craft, including needle-felting and dyeing sock blanks!
There's plenty of time to finish up (or start!) your summer projects, but we're also getting started on our autumn planning. Hope to see you for a class or event soon!

We've got a lot of quilting on offer this month! Our Kids' Quilting Camp is running this week, and I can't wait to see what they come up with! The following week, we still have spots in our adult Quilting Explorations camp with so you have 4 days to explore different quilting techniques, mini quilts, hand and machine quilting, and even quilted garments!
We also have a (full!) English paper piecing class with next weekend, and so many good fabrics for making hexagons right now!
And of course we have many lovely patterns and books on hand and would love to help you pick out your next project!
