A small corner can do a lot of heavy lifting. A slipcovered chair, a pair of brass candlesticks, and a blue and white platter on the wall turn an empty stretch by the window into the spot everyone ends up reading, writing, or lingering with their morning coffee.

Every home has a corner like this waiting to happen. Where's yours?

Meet Anna, one of our designers. As a kid she dreamed of being an artist, and now she gets to bring that eye to every home she works on. Swipe to get to know her a little better, including the two pieces she loves most in her own home.

What’s the one piece in your home you’d never part with? Tell us below.

Every week, we’re introducing you to the people behind CLD, and we couldn’t think of a better place to start than with Laurie, our co-owner and creative director. Swipe to hear what she wanted to be as a kid (spoiler: she actually did it) and the design detail she can’t stop thinking about.

Say hi to Laurie below!

Hardworking and beautiful, just the way we like it. From the arched entry to the hooks lined up for every coat and umbrella, this mudroom keeps the everyday chaos looking good.

Could your entryway use a little of this magic?

Every shelf here earns its place. Vessels up top, books stacked and standing, a little art leaning where you least expect it, brass catching the light. Then the pair of chairs turned toward the fire and that moody arched nook doing quiet work in the corner.

Our favorite afternoons consist of piecing it all together until it creates the room. You do not need a full renovation to get here. Furnishings is its own service, and sometimes a room just needs the right pieces in the right places.

Swipe to see what a blank room can become. This corner is now floor-to-ceiling built-ins with styled shelves, a wood counter, and brass hardware bringing all the character to life. The kind of office you're actually happy to work late in.

Imagining this in your own home? Our 2027 calendar is open.
