Heading into summer, we're reminiscing about one of our favorite projects—the River House.

Nestled among the trees and designed to embrace a relaxed, timeless way of living, this home is the perfect blend of classic architecture and modern comfort. From the sweeping rooflines and soft white exterior to the thoughtful details that make the home feel both elegant and welcoming, every element was curated to create a retreat for gathering, unwinding, and making memories.

As the days grow longer and life naturally moves outdoors, we're reminded why we love designing homes that feel connected to their surroundings and tailored to the way our clients live. Our clients loved the layout of their kitchen and wanted a facelift that would modernize the space while preserving elements that were still in great condition—including the original countertops. By keeping the existing stone, we were able to focus the renovation budget on impactful updates that completely changed the look and feel of the room.

The dated cabinetry and dark backsplash were replaced with crisp custom cabinetry, updated hardware, and a striking deep-blue dimensional tile that adds texture, movement, and personality. New lighting and contemporary finishes bring a fresh, sophisticated feel while maintaining the functionality the homeowners loved.

This project is a perfect example of how thoughtful design choices can breathe new life into a space without starting from scratch. Sometimes the best transformations come from building on what already works.

Leaving no corner behind, this pass-through space compliments the charming parlor with this game table, creating an inviting spot to gather, linger, and connect. Tucked beneath the staircase, the cozy seating area offers the perfect place for conversation, a cup of coffee, or an afternoon game with friends.
