September 2026 Newsletter
Here we are, the end of the summer is nigh, and what a scorcher it has been, normally when it is hot business slows down a bit for us, not this year we have had a better August than last year, continually increasing sales in all fabrics and haberdashery.
We have over the last few months had our fair share of staff illness and operations, we have covered the shop as best as we can, especially with the August Sale on as well and extra demand, we hope that at no time you have been kept waiting to long.
But with that in mind, I would also just like to thank especially Little Nige for keeping everything afloat and also all our amazing staff for stepping up and working hard.
Although I have been off for a while, I have still been in touch with most of the suppliers and reps, I have known most of them for over 30 years and many are friends, so they have kept in touch and been offering lots of the good bargains that are around.
On the haberdashery stand we have introduced a new range of matching Zips and Webbing, we think this will sell really well, all unique designs and patterns, all priced at £2.99 p/m.
I have also been shown 3 parcels of fabric this week, all top quality and all due in the first week of September.
Sanderson cotton/linen prints, normally retails between £40-£70p/m, we are clearing at only £19.99p/m, two collections from Chatham Glyn at on £9.99p/m, plus we’ve also bought more designer linens £12.99p/m and some new designs from Kai. As you can see Emma and Kim have been very busy making lots of room for the new fabrics.
